SFD Filling Device For Sparkling Wine and Wine Bottles SFD Filling DeviceFor Sparkling Wine and Wine Bottles Taking sparkling wine samples without any loss of CO 2 is possible! The Sparkling Wine Filling Device (SFD Filling Device) is a filling device for the sampling of sparkling wine or wine. Insert a closed sparkling wine bottle into the SFD Filling Device. SFD will transfer the sample straight from the bottle into an analytical instrument by means of pressurized air or nitrogen. Strike a new path In combination with a suitable measuring system, for example CarboQC or CboxQC by Anton Paar, the determination of dissolved carbon dioxide, dissolved oxygen and the amount of other gases in the sample can be performed quickly and reliably. The package pressure, based on the determined content of all dissolved gases, is also calculated. Lord of the Corks Simple and straightforward The SFD Filling Device pierces corks of sparkling wine bottles by manually drilling the cork with a threaded tube. Once the entire cork is penetrated by the drilling device, the sample tube can be lowered into the bottle and sample is transferred with the aid of pressurized air or nitrogen. No CO 2 is lost – the gasket of the piercing head and the cork of the bottle form a tight seal. Insert an adequate number of centering plates to accommodate bottles of various sizes. The SFD Filling Device can be used with both plastic and traditional corks. Safety for the operator The safety housing of the SFD Filling Device provides full protection for the user. The SFD Filling Device is operated with pressures of up to 7.5 bar relative ±0.5 bar (109 psi ±7 psi) to transfer the sample into an analytical instrument. To provide optimum safety, the pressure is only applied to the bottle once the door is securely closed and locked.
